Day 240: Anna + Snow
Anna Getting Her First Taste of Snow
North Carolina = humidity = frizzy hair for me. That's a random beginning to today's post, I realize, but I just have to say "Boo" to really bad hair days. ;)
Today we got to go and pick out a Christmas tree to decorate for Christmas. We also happened to be among the crazies who entered the world that is mall shopping just days before Christmas. Yikes. More frightful than the crazy mall was what Emily did while we were in one of the stores. Emily, upon seeing a mannequin wearing a low cut blouse, decided to grab onto one of the mannequin's plastic breasts. It was at this point that I noticed what she was doing, and after telling her to stop asked her why she had just done that. She responded, "I was just making sure she was not real, Mom." Duh! Yeah, go ahead and laugh; the lady at the register did too.
But I will wander back to the whole picking out the Christmas tree part. Of course, it snowed like crazy here a few days ago, and apart from the melting that is taking place there is still a bunch of snow everywhere. While we were picking out the Christmas tree Anna decided that she needed to understand what that white fluffy stuff tasted like. It was so funny to watch her grab some up, put it to her mouth, make a silly face, blow on it—like she sees us do to hot food, and try to eat it again. So adorable. How can you not love this sweet face? :)
