Day 147: Anna Bath Time

Anna

First, I have to just say that baby buns and baby rolls are so stinkin' cute! And, of course, when they are on your own beloved baby, it just makes them that much more adorable. ;) This shot so defines Anna right now; it totally sums up her personality at this point. She loves to be naked, standing, and giddy with giggles; bath time simply made it a perk. This afternoon we did a random bath for Ms. Anna, both to entertain her and to relieve her little bottom from some of the perils it has been enduring through this teething process. :( She had a blast, so much so that Emily begged to be able to enjoy it right along with her. Ah, now if they can always get along as well as they do right now...

Day 144: Tooth #3

Anna Hanging Upside Down

After a tough week for our baby superstar, Anna's third tooth officially broke through today! She looked puzzled at my excitement for her, but one day she will understand what a big deal it is, right? Well, regardless, we did the happy dance and celebrated her triumph. Then, to top off her confusion, Daddy hung her upside down really fast so I could capture this shot. Can you see the corner of her little tooth popping through on the left hand side at the top? Maybe now things will calm down for our precious little one—or not. Well Anna, great work honey, now you only have 25 more to go (minus the wisdom teeth you may or may not have). :)

Day 143: Sliiiiiding

Ariana Helping Anna and Emily Slide

Every professional photographer needs to practice his or her photography skills, and so sometimes I try to step outside the box of what I've grown comfortable with. Today that meant that I was playing with multiple exposure shooting. For me. the interest with multiple exposure comes in being able to show movement in a fun and creative way. So, while we were at the park today and the girls were having fun, I quietly sat back and practiced my photography. This is one of the images I came up with. Can't you tell they're having fun?

Day 142: Terrible Teething

Anna Eating Sweet Potatoes

Anna simply amazes me. Even though she has been running a mild fever while cutting two front teeth, she has remained so very sweet and happy. So, today when she started to sound super congested and was randomly grabbing her ear, we thought we should take her in to her pediatrician just to make sure she didn't have an ear infection. Nope; it turns out she just has allergies. Poor baby; I hate seeing her struggle. Tonight I made her some of her favorite food, sweet potatoes. She found the idea of Daddy feeding her a bit amusing. Of course, so did I, but I didn't show it. ;) How she can manage to smile when she doesn't feel good amazes me; I adore her.

Day 140: A Moment

Emily Hugging Daddy

Sundays are usually filled with a whole lot of relaxation. Today after going to church, working naps, and doing a bit of grocery shopping; we took a nice long walk in the park. Of course, we cannot go to the park and not allow Emily some serious play time. As she was running around like a chicken with no head, Anna was quite content on the swing. In the middle of it all Emily decided to run up to her Daddy for a quick hug. Click! Yeah, I dig those sort of moments. :) Of course, there are also the moments not captured like today when Anna lifted up my shirt for the rest of the park inhabitants to see. No, things are never dull.

Day 137: Our Girls

Emily, Ariana, and Annastacia

I think that some pictures really do speak best for themselves, and I think today's photo is one of those photos, so...I shall only add two points. ;) First, I really love the drama that comes with early evening light; it can be so yummy. Second, I never tire of seeing how much our girls simply love hanging out with each other and enjoy each other. (Well, most of the time :)). Man, I love them!
